Introduction
Cheap ward elects 3 Common Councillors and one Alderman. As the number of candidates for Common Councillor is the same as the number of vacancies, there will be no election in the ward this year. However, registered voters are encouraged to attend the wardmote, details of which are below.
The ward's name derives from the Old English word for market and contains much of the area between Cheapside and Gresham Street.
